&lt;/strong&gt;The role is to ensure that the specification, control and execution of the Design of Mechanical Building Services Elements of multi-disciplinary projects are achieved to agreed targets of quality, safety, cost and time.
                                          
&lt;strong&gt;Key &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Accountabilities&lt;/span&gt;:&lt;/strong&gt;
Produce technical briefs / work scopes for design and construction of works to be undertaken by the Construction team.
Having co-ordinated the Scope of Works, prepare specifications to meet client’s briefs and produce engineering or technical solutions which satisfies the project requirements.
Prepare Approval in Principle documents, complete feasibility studies, supporting calculations and detailed design drawings for Tender purposes.
Advise on special conditions and technical specifications for standards and contract documents.
Participate in design reviews in order to satisfy the client that the work meets their requirements.
Liaise effectively with Engineers within other disciplines; Project Managers, Construction Managers and Health and Safety and Quality Engineers to ensure designs and work are co-ordinated.
Ensure compliance with the appropriate standards, regulations, legislation and design principles to achieve assurance by the Asset Assurance Engineer(s).
 
&lt;strong&gt;Required Skills and Experience:
&lt;/strong&gt;Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Building Services Designer within a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;multi-discipline&lt;/span&gt; engineering environment
Demonstrable competence in a relevant engineering discipline
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Education to a minimum of &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;HNC&lt;/span&gt; or equivalent experience.
Membership of a recognised engineering institution desirable.
Ability to satisfy the requirements for Chartered Engineer desirable.
